Scott was not the vane, metro-sexual man type of guy. He was your basic jeans and loafer-wearing type of guy. Just a real estate agent from Seattle Washington who took his rugged messy good looks for granted and never did anything special about it. He certainly did not get manicures or go for salon treatments. He went to the barber for a trim every two months and that's about the extent of his grooming regimen other than his morning shave. So when he noticed his scalp peaking out more than usual all around his head he began to examine his head everywhere with a handheld mirror and he was shocked to notice that his hair was thinning all over his head! He had heard of men with balding problems but he never saw himself as one of them!
He began to look for hair loss treatment solutions online because he didn't even know who to ask about his problem. Luckily he found out that there are hair loss treatment clinics everywhere, even in his hometown. Then he learned a lot of other words he had never heard before: laser hair therapy, laser comb, Propecia, Rogaine! Obviously he had a lot of hair loss treatment learning to do. He also found out that the first step in hair loss treatment is to see a doctor to get a diagnosis for it. He was a little nervous that he might have one of those hair loss diseases. But he got a clearance from his primary care physician and then went to visit the dermatologist, which is where he finally got his answer. The dermatologist diagnosed a follicle infection on his scalp that was causing his hair follicles to become plugged so his hair would fall out and not grow back in! The dermatologist said he needed to pay better attention to how he was washing his hair because hair product had built up in his pores further exacerbating the problem. Scott how no idea that the way you care for your hair can cause it to fall out! So, after receiving his prescription for an antibiotic and a temporary anti-inflammatory cortisone treatment plan, he was told to find a reputable hair loss treatment center to help his hair grow back healthier and faster. The dermatologist explained that there were many hair loss treatments nowadays such as topical and oral medications and something called laser hair therapy. I guess now he would finally find out what a laser comb actually was!
He couldn't believe that so many people had problems with hair loss and needed to seek hair loss treatment, like he did. But when he arrived for his appointment at the hair loss treatment clinic closest to his home, he was relieved to find so many hair loss treatments that were actually approved by the FDA, like laser hair therapy and the laser comb. His laser hair therapy plan was designed to work both in the clinic and at home. And he was going to start right away because the plan was to use both the laser comb for laser hair therapy at-home and keep weekly appointments at the clinic as well for treatment under the stronger laser hair therapy unit to stimulate his follicles to get active more quickly. He learned that if you catch follicles with laser hair treatment before they die, you can stimulate them back into active growth if you stick to a regular schedule of treatment. Scott also learned he could use Propecia, the FDA-approved oral hair growth medication that blocks the damaging hormone DHT from accumulating on follicles and causing them to shrink, but his hair loss treatment specialist didn't see any other signs of male pattern baldness yet, but told him that if he did start to notice any, he could start on Propecia as an oral hair loss treatment too. Propecia works on the inside while laser hair therapy works on the outside to help hair follicles remain active and healthy, but both only work as a hair loss treatment as long as you continue the regimen. Luckily for Scott, his condition was only temporary and as soon as his infection was brought under control, the laser hair therapy worked its magic on his hair quickly! After that he was a believer in the laser comb, and in taking better care of his hair!
