Help Follicles keep Growing with Cosmetic Laser Hair Therapy

Hair loss is no laughing matter...especially when it happens to you. That's when it becomes the biggest thing in your life. Something you never thought of until now. But don't brush it off as nothing to worry about because it's a fact that once hair follicles die, they can't be brought back to life. You've got to coax lagging follicles by a number of means to keep growing healthy hair - but you CAN do it. Some hair loss treatments are specific to re-growing hair and some are just plain health common sense!

First of all, if you're anything like Sam, a 40-year old father of three from Chicago, Illinois, you never gave much thought to your health either. He eats what he wants, he doesn't exercise and, while he's not overweight and doesn't have any pressing health problems, he's also not a health nut by any means. So when his hair line started to recede and the hair on top of his head started disappearing until he could see his scalp underneath, he had no idea where to start. And hair loss treatment was not on the top of his list, either. His wife suggested a visit to his primary doctor for a check-up (after all he hadn't been in over five years!) His doctor examined him carefully and determined that he had no specific diseases but that he was suffering from male pattern baldness and there was much to be done about it regarding his lifestyle in addition to hair loss treatments like Propecia, Rogaine and laser hair therapy specifically approved for hair loss treatment.

First of all he examined his diet as a preliminary hair loss treatment. Hair needs protein to grow, like high-quality sources including eggs and lean meats, explained the doctor. And unfortunately for Sam, the doctor advised him that soda, alcohol and junk food (his three favorite food groups) were all nutrition-zappers that rob hair follicles of amino acids, essential fatty acids and nutrients they need to stay healthy. The doctor explained if he wanted to give his follicles a fighting chance you have to feed them something to build on from the inside. His doctor also wrote him a prescription for daily oral Propecia as a proven hair loss treatment, which blocks the formation of the hormone DHT, typically responsible for shrinking and damaging hair follicles to the point of death. From the outside he suggested Sam visit a hair loss treatment clinic to ask about laser hair therapy.

When he met the hair loss treatment specialist he learned that laser hair therapy would help stimulate his follicles on the outside, by stimulating circulation and strengthening hair follicles and that laser hair therapy could even reverse the cycle of degeneration. The treatments work even better if you begin as soon as you notice hair loss beginning because once follicles are damaged to the point of death, nothing can bring them back to an active growth phase. He thought laser hair therapy was cool sounding and decided to give it a try right away. He bought a laser comb so he could stick to the schedule of laser hair therapy at home.

Sam actually followed the doctor's hair loss treatment advice, slowly at first, switching out a Coke for a water bottle one afternoon and encouraging his wife and kids to have a good, home-cooked meal all around the dinner table instead of fast-food on the run on another night. He used his laser comb four times per week for about 30 minutes each time. He tossed the ball with his sons twice last week and thought to himself that hair loss treatment was easier than he expected and had actually improved his life beyond helping him regrow some hair!
