Why a D.O. ?

A Doctor of Osteopathy receives more training than an M.D. on the musculoskeletal system (nerves, muscles and bones). A D.O. perceives the whole body rather than just specific 'spots' or symptoms. A D.O. may use Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) on patients and involves the use of hands-on treatment while diagnosing and treating patients. It is the 'total person' approach and is a fast growing segment in the US healthcare field.
